"Nyumba Ya Wazee", as its affectionately called, is run by the little sisters of the poor and has been in existence since 1985. The home currently hosts 72 elderly people, ranging from 72 to 106 years of age. Most of the elderly at the home are sick, infirm and require a lot of care as well as medical attention. The home depends exclusively on the kindness and generosity of well wishers to cater for daily needs.

The home relies on donations to take care of elderly poor. The Little sisters of the poor welcome donations of any amount through MPESA, cash, cheque, etc

We also accept volunteers (individuals or groups) who wish to spend some of their time helping out in the home. Volunteers can participate in general cleaning, meal preparations, laundry or simply entertaining the elderly.
